Project Description
Social Innovation for Communities, SIC (2014-2015)
The Innovation for Communities (SIC) Social project is an initiative that brings innovative solutions to social challenges. The project investigates global innovations that are operating successfully and facilitates their implementation in new contexts to solve critical social problems. SIC is led by the organization Upsocial and XUL Foundation is the partner for its implementation in Andalusia.
SIC’s main aim is to investigate social innovations that are operating successfully and facilitate their implementation in new contexts to solve critical social problems. Between 2014 and 2015, two projects were developed, both focused on young people. The objective of one of the projects was to find solutions that contribute to the improvement of educational success, identifying initiatives that counteract the lack of social, economic or cultural capital of young people’s families. The other project aimed to create employment in the field of green economy for young people, through the identification of innovative initiatives successfully tested, and to facilitate their implementation in Andalusia.
